Staying Alive: How to Enhance Your Physical, Psychological, Economical and Spiritual Security.
This workshop addresses ways to “Stay Alive” amidst the pervasive assault of sexism, racism, economic destabilization, domestic violence and pornography in our homes, workplaces, schools, shopping malls and public spaces. The day is dedicated to learning how we can ameliorate the culture of violence surrounding us today. Presenters will address the sexist and racist underpinnings of conflict in our communities and demonstrate ways to “Stay Alive” through negotiation and reconciliation, prayer and spirituality, economic self-sufficiency, and self-defense tactics. National and local experts will provide highly interactive forums to guide you in plenary and breakout sessions.
